Kenneth Colby, developer of PARRY, an early computer model of the paranoid thinking process, has died at the age of 81. Colby was also the founder of Malibu Artifactual Intelligence Works, a company which marketed a controversial AI-based program called "Overcoming Despression" that was designed to assist those who suffered from depression without the need for a human therapist.
