The Year Ahead for Personal Robots

PC World's Eric Butterfield has written a column about what the year ahead holds for personal and consumer robotics. The article touches on everything from the Roomba and Robo-Sapien to the Asimo and Wakamaru. One other robot that's been making news lately didn't make it into the PC World article but is mentioned in a NewScientist article today: Secom's Robot X, a smokescreen-generating guard robot that can be leased for less than the monthly salary of a human security guard.
