Chinese scientists have unveiled microscopic swimming robots designed to deliver drugs or clear arteries in humans. A NewScientist.com article says the prototype robots are 3mm long. A 1mm robot sub is under construction and the goal is developed a 0.1mm device eventually. The tiny submersibles swim by means of tiny paddles that are actuated by magnetic fields applied externally.
