Cyclops Robot Rescues Bird Down Under

Andrew Smith writes, Here is a news item about a remote controlled robot that was used to rescue a bird from a collapsing apartment block in Sydney today. Marcin Coles points out a more detailed version of the story. Tweety the cockatiel was rescued from a collapsed building by a Cyclops MROV robot operated by the local police. The Cyclops is made by UK company AB Precision. The robot comes in both wheeled and tracked versions and is commonly used by Austrailian police deparments for rescue operations and bomb disposal.
