 | A Robot Was Mugged in San Francisco! |

OK, it wasn't a "real" robot, it was a big metal sculpture named Goliath
that looked like a robot and really it wasn't mugged but it was
vandalized and really it wasn't in San Francisco, it was in Pacific
Heights but close enough.
The Robot Sculpture named Goliath was vandalized probably by a
couple of teens from across the street who had been partying too hard.
The robot had actually caused quite a stir in the mega-millions
neighborhood because of an apparent uncouth goliath appendage. Over the
years
a specific appendage has had a bow stuck on it for christmas and some
teen was caught trying to cut it off. This year, nothing about the
appendage, but instead, the
living daylights was beaten out of it (probably with a baseball bat)
and the owner Robert Mailer Anderson says, "the
sculpture is lucky to be alive!" The vandals caused around $5,000
to $10,000 worth of damage to Goliath. The do-badders were caught on
surveillance cameras and a police report was filed but the owner says he
won't press charges and he's already received an apology from a likely
party (the vandal's parents from across the street?)
