A NewScientist article offers more news on the European ExoMars mission, which we've covered before. The article suggests European scientists are hoping the new robot will "banish the ghost of Beagle 2", a previous probe which failed to complete its mission. The ExoMars rover will be more autonomous than NASA's Spirit and Opportunity rovers. The article also mentions NASA's next Mars mission, the Mars Science Lab (MSL). The ExoMars and MSL rovers will seek signs of life on Mars among other tasks.
