Breeze is a robotic tree that looks like a Japanese maple. Beeze has sensors all around it and when you get near it, it reaches out to touch you! Just what you need, a bear hug from a freakish red robotic tree. Egads that sounds scary! It's not fast as it uses Nitinol wire for its actuation so it's more artsy with subtle movements. Like before you notice, it's got you!!! On their website is an interactive animation where you can move your mouse across it to sort of get a feel for how it acts in real life (can it really be called real life?) life. There's also a RoBotany blog with more camera phone video and more info on their RoBotany stuff. No mention on if they'll be selling them for Christmas! (a la robotic Christmas trees anyone?) :-) Other sites... |
