Tom Atwood let us know about Robot Magazine's coverage of the new Futaba humanoid robot. The robot was unveiled at the recent iHobbyExpo 2006. The new robot will be available in the US and Japan for around $1200 US. It feature 20 servos, 11 high-torque and 9 lightweight. Like most recent small humanoid robots, it's shipped as a remote controlled unit, leaving it up to the robot builder to convert it into a fully autonomous robot. For more on the Futaba robot, Lem Fugitt has posted additional photos and even a YouTube video of the robot in action over at Robots Dreams.
