New Feelings for SurgeonsPosted 30 Nov 2006 at 18:59 UTC by Rog-a-matic
Researchers at Johns Hopkins University are working to
provide a sense of touch to surgeons using robots.
Doctors need to feel the needle puncturing tissue, tension
on a suture, and the texture of a calcification.
One possibility is to provide touch feedback in the form of
color on a monitor.
