Kyosho Humanoid Robot Competition

Tom Atwood of Robot Magazine writes, we just posted an expansive article, with video, on the inaugural Kyosho Athlete Humanoid Cup at www.botmag.com. The article was shot and written by Lem Fugitt, in Tokyo. May be of interest as this is leading Robo-One category stuff. The Kyosho Athlete Humanoid Cup is, not surprisingly, geared toward the competition of Kyosho's humanoid robot, the MANOI AT01. The MANOI AT01 is a small servo-actuated humanoid frame with 17 degrees of freedom. The robot is sold as a kit which may be customized by the user. It supports inertial and compass sensors and can be implemented as a fully autonomous robot or a radio controlled model.
