Markus Waibel writes, "This year's first Talking Robots [podcast] episode has just come out! Olivier Michel, the founder of Cyberbotics Ltd., talks about his business experience with robot simulation. His main product, Webots, has been incredibly successful and is used in more than 350 universities and corporate research centers worldwide. Olivier also gives us an inside view of the market for simulation software, past and future customers, software patents, and on how robotics can help us to keep factories in Europe. He also talks about his regular robot programming contests on the Internet (ALife contest, Roboka contest), which are based on a free version of Webots where about 50 teams worldwide were competing on different robot programming scenarios."
