Speech Hack for the Robonova Robot

Posted 22 Jan 2007 at 19:08 UTC by steve Share This

Tom Atwood of Robot Magazine writes, "One of our readers hacked a Robonova-1 to give it the ability to speak. He used a small Quadravox QV306M1 chip that can accept up to 240 separate sound bites for a total of four minutes of audio -- and you can source sound files from practically anywhere. The details have been posted at www.botmag.com. Thought your audience might dig this." The article, Make Your Robonova-1 Speak!, by D. G. Smith, includes photos, schematics, and descriptions of the project.
