Robot Docking Explored

Robotics Engineer Chris Schur has documented his research into mobile robot docking. The discussion includes beacon and sensor selection and usage, techniques for successfully navigating to a charging station, and ideas about the mechanical and electrical aspects of the docking connection itself.

Chris You rock!! Ive been working on chargers for the whitebox 914 and am now in the process of sorting out a method to get my robot to locate and dock with the charger automatically. You have beaten me to it by a week or two. I am definately looking forward to reading this report...
