I'm still trying to empty out the story backlog, so here's another load of stories. euProbe sent us links to video of a German replacement for the Aibo and a new Japanese robot dog named BJ. See also our previous story on the Aibo Replacement. Roland Piquepaille sent us links to his blog posts about robots that save miners, microrobots made from heart muscles, and robot planes that help NASA fight wildfires. Robert Oschler sent us a YouTube video of a Roboquad robot being controlled by voice, over the Internet. The Swirling Brain noticed a Slashdot story on the Black Starfish, a robot capable of introspection. See also our stories on Black Starfish from May 2007 and November 2006. We got some other cool video links from Daniel Casner, including A WIRED sponsored robot music video featuring the squishy robot Keepon and new video from Anybots Inc. showing their robot, Monty. Know any other robot news, gossip, or amazing facts we should report? Send 'em our way please.
