Gizmodo UK recently interviewed Ugobe's Steve Bannerman. In this interview he stated officially that "Next year we will bring out additional life-forms." and hinted that some of them may not be for purely entertainment purposes. Apparently this is what the additional 12 million dollars in venture funding they recently raised was for. An interesting data point was his announcement that over 55,000 Pleos are now in the hands of customers world wide. Mr. Bannerman was an important marketing figure at Apple where he headed the launch of their online streaming media business and helped in their Quicktime TV project.
