Software Robot Agents do Special Ops

Posted 29 Sep 2001 at 16:34 UTC by The Swirling Brain Share This

This article on CNN talks about software robots (er, um, AI software?) known as agents that can help identify possible targets to military commanders. The software robots, AKA Control of Agent-Based Systems or CoABS, uses these AI agents to scans images to and other data to identify targets. There's even a HTML-like markup language called DAML (Darpa Agent Markup Language) to help the software agents parse DOD internet files for additional data. Cool huh?
