The vintage gadget folks at RetroThing have dug up a photo from the Atari Museum of a Androman (AKA Atariman) prototype designed for use with the Atari 2600 game console of the late 70's. The 8" tall Androman was developed by Nolan Bushnell's Androbot company and used a plastic lunar landscape mat as a maneuvering course. The Polaroid shows the prototype Androman during FCC tested in January of 1984. Those were the days.
