Robots: Evolution of a Cultural Icon

A reader let us know that sculpter Nemo Gould's latest piece, Performer #2, will be included in the exhbit "Robots: Evolution of a Cultural Icon" at the Sonoma County Museum in Santa Rosa, CA. Along with other works by Nemo Gould, you'll be able to see robot art by Clayton Bailey, Chris Cunningham, Feric, Amy Hicks, Eric Yoyner, Chico MacMurtrie, Alan Rath, Michael Mew, David Pace, Gail Wight, Thomas Zummer, and others. If you're interested in robots as art, this is a great chance to see works by a lot of leading artists all in one place. The exhibition includes sculpture, paintings, photographs, and drawings. The exhibit runs from January 23 through April 5 and there's an opening recpetion on January 23 from 5pm to 7pm. A series of 14 YouTube videos are available from the previous run of this exhibit at the San Jose Museum of Art.
