The Robotic Exploration of Space

Posted 8 Apr 2009 at 17:51 UTC by steve Share This

Cassie Bowman of JPL writes, "The Solar System Exploration group at JPL has produced a neat slideshow about the timeline of robotic exploration." In fact, they've put together two versions, a full blown web-based timeline with text, photos, and lots of details; and also a small flash-based version of the same presentation. In addition to covering historical robotic milestones in space exploration from the Russian Lunokhod 1 (pictured above) to the Cassini-Huygens probe, a lot of general space exploration history is included as well.
