The American Pyschological Association has published new findings that indicate episodic memory in humans depends on the connections between brain hemispheres provided by the corpus callosum. In people with a more developed corpus callosum, the new study reveals better episodic memory. Further, the development of episodic memory in children coincides with the corpus callosum's maturation.
