Actually, it was released on the 15th but robots.net wasn't online until recently so I'm posting this a little late. RTLinux lets you run a full-blown Linux kernel on your robot and still have the advantages of a hard real-time OS. Version 3.0 can be used on x86, PowerPC, Alpha processors. Both 2.2 and 2.4 kernels are available.
