Yes, there's another groovy AIBO for sale. This one has a new groovy design, some add on packages and even can dance. "This Years Model" has antennas for ears and a pop-up light happy light. Aibo means "Companion" in Japanese and is even an acronym for Artificially something something something (AI roBOt). This new Aibo is due out sometime in November. Besides this new Aibo, there's been a slew of other Aibos all leveraging on the coat tails of the original Aibo. Even the companion has companions and pups and even come in various colors, has various add on packages, etc., etc., ad infinitum. Of course Sony and the dog have recently come under fire for discouraging users from creating and selling their own custom programs for the smart sticks. Some AIBO owners have even threatened a boycot. Like wasn't their " Architecture" supposed to be open?
