Among the companies, such as iRobot, offering their assistance towards the recovery effort in Japan, QinetiQ North America, has made TALON and Dragon Runner systems available, as well as Robotic Control Kits (RoCKs), which can be used to quickly convert 18 models of Bobcat loaders equipped with optional Selectable Joystick Controls (SJC) to remote operation, including control of more than 37 Bobcat-approved attachments. Bobcat also offers remote control as an option. (QinetiQ began as a spinoff from the U.K.'s Defense Evaluation and Research Agency (DERA). QinetiQ North America is an independent U.S. company separated from QinetiQ by a proxy agreement that protects the national interests of the United States.)
