Beyond 2000 has a short article up about RoboWoods, a small, autonomous robot that can locate a golf ball and a hole and putt the ball into the hole. Kahlil Khan designed the robot for the University of Florida Intelligent Machines Design Lab (IMDL). The 2001 IMDL, which occured in November, included other interesting robots that did things ranging from playing soccer to performing as a DJ.
