Technology Review has an article
on the progress of conducting polymers, one of the more hopeful
artificial muscle technologies. The article focuses on work
being done by John
Madden and others in the Conducting Polymer
Actuators Project at the MIT Bioinstrumentation Lab.
JPL is having two lectures on 'Electroactive Polymers as Artificial
Muscles' later this week. They will be broadcast over the Internet.
