An announcement on NewsForge says Natural Machine is relicensing their flagship software product, Verbal AI, as Free Software under the GNU LGPL. The relicensed package will also be renamed AI Kernel (AIK) and is now hosted on Source Forge. AI Kernel is a Java framework for Natural Language Processing (NLP) and a context/activator intelligence model. The context/activator framework is designed for use in robotics with sensor inputs and actuator outputs.
