Wired has a new article about the relationship between robots and humans. This one asks the question, "Can a Child Love a Robot?" In particular, do children love robots pets in the same way they love living pets. The question of whether or not children understand the difference between life and non-life is also addressed. Some children apparently see the Sony Aibo as a dog-like toy, for example, while others seem to think it is actually alive.
