An announcement for Autopilot UAV 2.3 appeared on Freshmeat last night. Among other improvements, the new version allows the simulator or helicopter to be flown with a conventional Futaba transmitter using a buddybox port. Autopilot UAV is Free Software licensed under the GNU GPL. It and related hardware are being developed by Trammell Hudson and others.
