Freshmeat carried a release announcement for Anna v0.1.2 today. Anna is a chat bot implementated in Artificial Intelligence Markup Language (AIML). Anna is designed to believe herself human and comes complete with a personality and a past. Anna based on work by the ALICE AI Foundation and is intented to eventually win the Loebner Prize. If you're looking for a way to give your robot a human-like personality this might be an interesting approach. Anna is Free Software licensed under the GNU GPL.
