A new Wired story describes MIT's Anima Machina project and a number of other interesting things that showed up at this year's Siggraph. The goal of the Anima Machina project is to create a sea anemone-like robot made of fiber optics and clad in silicone that responds to light and touch in much the same way a real sea anemone does.
