A new NASA article, titled The Right Stuff for Super Spaceships, talks about research being done on advanced spaceship design. Much of it involves creating ships that are essentially self-aware, self-healing robots. The article concentrates more on the materials needed, such as carbon nanotubes, than on the AI/Robotics concepts involved but is still quite interesting.
