TRN News reports on a new lithium iron phosphate battery that allows charge and discharge rates much higher than traditional batteries. The new battery takes advantage of a new material that is much more conductive than that used in current lithium batteries and is also non-toxic. With a charge/discharge rate as fast as 3 minutes, the battery bridges the gap between traditional batteries and capicitors.
