Controlling Creatures with Linux

A new LinuxDevices.com article describes the use of Linux within the Jim Henson Company's Creature Shop to control animatronic and 3-D computer graphic puppets. The company has developed special software called the Henson Performance Control System that runs on top of Linux and allows the animatronic characters to interact with human actors. The article goes into details on the system architecture and includes diagrams, screen shots, and photos of the hardware.
