New Test Tank for ROVs and AUVs

Johns Hopkins University has announced the completion of a new 43,000 gallon, indoor test tank for underwater robots. Initially, the test tank will be used for furthing development of the navigation and control systems of the JHU ROV. Research done in the new tank is also expected to benefit other organizations that use ROVs and AUVs such as National Deep Submergence Facility at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
