A new LinuxDevices.com article describes Spif, a mobile robot developed by The ENST Computer Science Department in France. Spif uses a Denx MPC860 PowerPC processor running Linux with 64Mb SDRAM and 8Mb flash ROM. It also sports Ethernet, Bluetooth, USB, I2C, PCMCIA, IRDA, audio, LCD, and Smartcard ports. The robot includes two DC drive motors with encoders, laser photo detector combo, two IR telemeters, whiskers, bumpers, and an LCD touchscreen. More photos.
