Pegasus X-47A UCAV Test Flight

Northrop Grumman announced the completion of the first test flight of the Pegasus X-47A UCAV on Feb 23. The X-47A is the US Navy's answer to the autonomous X-45A robot fighter being developed for the Air Force by Boeing. The X-47A will be able to take off and land on carriers and will be used for sea-based suppression of enemy air defenses, strike and surveillance missions.
