Silver Fox UAV Finds a New Job

A recent press release from the Office of Naval Research describes a change in task for the Silver Fox UAV. The Silver Fox was originally designed to spot whales in areas where the Navy was conducting exercises in order to keep them out of harms way. But, in less than a month, the small UAV was adapated for use by the Marines in Iraq to gather battlefield intelligence and mass produced.
