The 33rd annual MIT 2.007 competition is over and the winner was a puple robot with no name built by Keith V. Durand. In this year's event, robots had to cross the "chasm of doom" and liberate street hockey balls from a spinning platter. Keith first heard about the MIT robot competition when he was in third grade and made the decision then to attend MIT. Meanwhile, another 2.007 participant, Christina M. Laskowski, composed and performed a song inspired by her robot building experience at the event, ``Epoxy is a Girl's Best Friend", to the tune of ``Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend''.
