Freshmeat posted an annoucement for WLA DX v8.9 today, a new release of the versatile macro assembler. Originally created to compile ROM images for the Gameboy, it has evolved into a general purpose macro assembler for a lot of CPUs that turn up in robots from time to time including the GB-Z80, Z80, NES-6502, 65c02, C64-6510, 65816, HuC6280, and SPC-700. A disassembler is also included in the package. WLA DX was written by Ville Helin and is Free Software licensed under the GNU GPL.
