Silicon Valley has an article about building thinking robots. Some people seem to think that machines like in the The Matrix or T3 will get smart enough and take over the world, while others are not so convinced. As Moore's law progresses, we are destine to have more and more powerful machines giving human artificial intelligence and smarter machines a better chance to become reality and perhaps become smarter than we are. Some people believe this will occur by creating special AI computer languages to develop smart systems, while others believe robots should be created like a baby and learn everything from scratch, while others believe in building huge databases of important knowledge, and others believe in other methods. Even though there's lots of ideas about how to build thinking robots, at least someone IS thinking about it and we may see something interesting develop from it all.
