Hello everyone! My name is Eric Sophie. I am a Lego Mecha Designer. I have built robot design for nearly 20 years. I completed my most comprehensive fully articulated robot called the "Jamocklaquat" A four foot tall, 41 motor, 12 Mindstorms RCX controlled automaton. (featured on the Lego Web Site) I have shown my Mecha designs at Art Shows and Exhibits around the Tri-State area for many years. (USA) I would like to connect with other robot builders and designers in order to grow and learn more. I create three kinds of robots. "Bots" smallish non articulated designs that teach me about the biometrics needed for the larger designs. "Mecha" 3 foot tall robot sculptures that have some limited motorized articulation, and "Robotics" real robots controlled by the computer. Although Lego is my medium, I have this old saying that does well for me: Plastic or Metal, its a robot, it does what you tell it to do.
