I found a solution to my problem by putting my tires in Hot tap water and it worked beyond expectations.

A few other problems came up but were quickly solved and I was all ready on Thursday night and, despite some moments of severe anxiety, Friday turned out even better.

During the competition, despite facing several teams of two or three people, I came away in second place and am now even more convinced that this is indeed what I want to devote my life's work to.
