Name: Dennis Cook Notes: Hi, I am Dennis Cook. I'm looking for HELP. I'm starting to build a truss making machine. I believe that a robotic arm would be just the thing for placing the wooden components in proper places on the jig. The study that I have been doing says that hydraulics would be the best way to move the arm. That is no problem as I am a very qualified machinest and have made most of the jig fixtures and air cylinders already. I will be starting the hydraulic cylinders next. The information that I have gathered tells me that I want a point to point servo controlled arm, with walk thru programing. I will be using a PC as it will interface with my engineering program. What I need to know is what to use and where to get the parts to control the movements of the arm (programs, sensers, etc.). My e-mail address is dcook@rabbitbrush.com. Thanks, Dennis DC certified others as follows:
