Hello. I am the builder of the Electric Giraffe. My name is Lindsay. The Electric Giraffe is a robot currently under construction. It is now its first walking and music playing stage. The beast weighs in at about 1700 pounds. It will soon be featured at the "Make Faire" in San Mateo, CA, and Popular Science will include an article about the machine. Disney Studios is funding a visit to their Burbank facility next month. So far, so good, the machine seems to be a success. Kids are specially delighted with the machine. I am primarily interested in software that will take the robot to his next stage, which is becoming somewhat self aware and "Awake". The goal is to bring this machine to life in as many ways as possible.
