Notes: Hi, My main interest is programming however, I am now interested in taking this further by building an autominus robot. This will be my first endevour into the field of robotics and I have spent the past few weeks exploring the different types of robots out there. I am keen to join this club and colaborate with similar minded people to share ideas and experiances. As I say I am just starting out and any help and advise would be greatly appreciated. For instance, the first thing that has struck me is the cost of micro-controllers. I have always been a bit of a scavenger (PC term recycler. Has anyone out threre ever found suitable parts from old machines ie VCR's etc or am I barking up the wrong tree.
