Notes:

I've done some reading over the past 15 years about robotics, but never actually built one. I have done some simple simulations, and tend to want to work on the software end of things... I am a programmer, and do system level programming (i.e. OS level including networking, device drivers, crash analysis, etc.)

No robots built, no competition, no robotics groups...

I've been on slashdot for a couple of years, though, does that count? :)
