Hi, my name is Chris McCarley, aka devlin. I have been been interested in robots for as long as I can remember and have built various hobby robots over the years. I worked in robotics professionally, developing robotic systems at Motorola for the manufacturing floor.

Education-wise, I have a BSEE and MSEE. My Master's program specialized in robotics and machine intelligence. I completed much of a PhD program (never finished, unfortunately) with a dissertation on specialized analog neural network hardware.

These days I am working as a software architect for large J2EE systems. Personally, I am perpetually interested in AI and lately with software agents in Java. I am thinking about building hobby robots again and possibly starting up a local club.
