Notes:
I am a Electrical Engineering Student at the University of Evansville. I have competed in 2 robots competions in the past 2 years. IEEE hosts a robot competion each year for our region. The rules our diffrent each year and so is the task. Two years ago I built Robby a small robot that was design to find and pickup balls and deposit them in a goal. Last year I designed a robot (LOLA) that played a simulated version of Pong. This robot is my pride and joy.

As Many of you know Robots are only as good as there input and the programmer that makes them work. I recently found one of the best resorces for sensors I have found on the internet and I thought I would pass it on to all of you. http://www.acroname.com/robotics/parts/c_Sensors.html check it out!!!!
My next robot project is under way as I will once again be competing in the IEEE southeast con. hardware competition. This years competion is being held in Jamaica and there for has been made rather simplistic. This will allow for less equipment and the robots to be much small than in the past. The contest is based on the Trinity collage Fire Fighting robot contest that is held each year. For full details of the contest and to see the rules visit. http://www.ewh.ieee.org/r3/jamaica/southeastcon/robot.html I will soon be adding pictures of my robot to my website so feel free to check him out.
When will people learn that a remote control car is not a robot. As defined a robot is: A mechanism that can move automatically. There for if you drive or push your "Robot" around it is not a robot it must have sometype of cotrol of itself.
