time has not been on my side (moving) so I moved the stamp
onto the bot for now. really want to use the PIC mostly due
to the cost factor.

anywho have the sonar sensor working pretty well. did a
simple algorithm to just drive around the apartment in any
direction where it could (more than 2 feet in a direction)
which was kind of neat since the apartment is filled with
boxes (did i mention that i hate moving).

the tracked vehicle is kind of neat but i'm thinking the
next bot will have wheels or legs.

received a devantech sonar module srf04. expectations
weren't to high but i have been very pleased with how well
this thing works. prototyped it with a stamp and got great
results. mounted on the tankbot and have to get some code
into the bot's PIC. going to use the ccp module on the PIC
to learn something new.

Put together a servo tankbot from budgetrobotics.com.
Added bump switches and run it all with a pic 16f627 using C.

Took a bit to get used to interfacing with hardware in C.
Time etc. isn't as simple as my previous experience (BS
2SX). But a lot more flexible.

Researching two or three things right now before the
next step...

Need more sensors... SharpIR or Devantech Sonar? Haven't
decided yet. Would like to dedicate one PIC to driving
servos, one to brains and one to sensors and let them all
communicate.

That brings up the second issue. How to let the pics
communicate with each other. Am I being silly trying to
put more than one chip on a bot?
