Notes:
I've had a long-time interest in robotics from a tinkerer standpoint. I've built and experimented with a variety of BEAM type projects, an older stamp brained mobile, and most recently a floating autonomous robot. I've never put my devices in a show or competition before, though I did participate in engineering a battle bot, but failed to create enough capital to manufacture it. As far as hardware and software go, I'd place myself somewhere in the middle. I'm a very mediocre programmer, but do carry some mechanical and electronics knowledge. th I just purchased my first home and am excited to finally have some workspace to build in. Not since I lived in an empty warehouse during college have I had a place decent to spill acid on, drill holes in, leave wet epoxy on the table, and of course, burn. I hope to take this pent-up energy to turn loose a few robotics projects I've had lurking in the back of my head. I'd like to use my time here to see what others are up to, and to bounce questions off of when I need some ideas. Best, Chris
